Revisiting the Purpose of this Site
Dear Friends,
Praise and thanks be to God! We have found a tremendous response to the site, which was actually just an effort to compile information for personal interest and record. We acknowledge that this response essentially is not because we have set up a website or an exercise in website development or search engine optimisation or anything like that.
As we see it, the response to this site is just an indication of the need for information in this domain, and on a more spiritual level a need to find that right time and place to meet God.
It is in response to this need that the authors will assume a greater role in enhancing the content of the site.
We are rewriting and making other enhancements including a more uniform format that will allow us to present maximum information in a proper structure.
The authors are practicing Catholics, but also believe that the work of God, the Salvation of Jesus Christ through the working of the Holy Spirit is not limited to the Catholic Church and therefore other churches may be included as and when information is received and deemed appropriate. However the intention of the authors is to inform people about places of worship that are seeking this information from an neutral standpoint, rather than deliberately endorsing, highlighting or directing people to specific churches.
At the same time, we note that the main audience are people seeking information about the hundreds of catholic churches scattered across Mumbai and other places in India. Hence we would try to include information on various sacraments such as Holy Eucharist (Mass) and Reconciliation (Confession) and prayer programmes such as Novenas, Prayer Meetings, Night Vigils & Recollections.
May God bless you in your quest for a deeper walk with him.
